Don't Waste the Final Weeks of the School Year

November signals the final weeks of the school year. As the challenges of 2019 begin to fade with the assessment, report cards and celebrations, our students with literacy difficulties continue to struggle and face the prospect of another report card reflecting the difficulties they face. What can YOU do about this?

The key to literacy is knowledge of the structure of our language. It makes sense, doesn't it?!

If a learner of any age cannot read, they are most likely to be missing the key information about the code they are trying to crack.

If they are showing no improvement in reading or spelling after a year in the classroom, this is what you need to do. It's not too late to make the most of the last 5 weeks of the year.

Whether you are a teacher, teacher aide, parent, speech pathologist, grab a 26 Letters Pack and do 15 minutes of the routines daily, 5 days per week. You will see progress and, most of all, success for your learner.

They will finish the year with more confidence and a start to improving the outcomes for the next year ahead. If you have the opportunity to continue through the holidays, this will make such a difference to the commencement of the new year.
